The production staff at Time-Warner in Wilmington, NC did a swell job on this. Space in a 30 second spot is a good thing! Thanks Jesse~ My guy-next-door, bread-n-butter VO. Airing in 2010.

Profile Information

Location:
Southeast...Nashville, TN area
About Me:
Scott has lived in the Nashville market since graduating from Georgia Southern University in the late 80’s. His field of study was communications with a minor in music. After some auditions for drum gigs in the late 80’s/early 90’s, Joe Loesch helped get things started in the right direction for Scott when he produced his very first voice demo cassette (!) way back in the fall of 1991. The early goings of the career were very slow. Scott concentrated largely on ‘marketing the head-shot’ through various agencies in attempts to land on-camera acting jobs in Nashville, throughout most of the 90’s. [Jimmi McCarter with The Cannon Group gets the ‘nod’ for A+ agency.] He also spent time in the local radio market at two different contemporary Christian FM stations in the mid-90’s. Scott started to focus exclusively in the ‘off-camera’ world of voice-over around the time of the new Millennium.

...so after all the years of various jobs, some acting gigs here and there, a few years in FM radio, and several years of restaurant service, he finally launched out, full-time, in a home-based voice production business in the summer of 2005.

Though he has done voice-over (in various capacities) since even as far back as late '91, Scott has done more in the past 3 or 4 years than in all the other years combined.

Scott has been married since 1999, and he and his wife Mary enjoy spending time with their wonderful children---Lauren and Joel. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching a good movie, cooking, taking in a good college or pro football game, playing tennis, swimming, and basketball, and playing drums for worship-team in the local church that Scott and Mary are very involved in. …an old-school 70’s-80’s rocker who still has a pair of stonewashed jeans (circa 1987) hanging in his closet. Scott probably needs to get rid of those. …Scott’s saving those for some day when they come back in style. …or maybe for some 80’s throw-back party. Scott doesn’t want to face the fact that those jeans are 33’s, and do not fit him any more.
Why are you here:
…to market the voice, and also to connect with other voice-over artists in the local area and beyond.
Favorite Voice-Over Artist:
Sorry to have a list, but here goes: Jim Nance & Ron Franklin (for sports), Frank Caliendo (for some of the best sports impersonations ever), Jim Carrey, Dana Carvey, Patrick Warburton (one of my favorites), James Earl Jones, Andrew Stanton (talent that goes way beyond VO), all of The Simpsons voice actors. And, in memory of these vocal titans whose voices and characterizations will always be with us: Phil Hartman (Linonel Hutz & other hilarious voices), Mel Blanc (da BOMB), Don LaFontaine (sounded like a bomb)...gentlemen, you are missed. AND, my recent newly found friend and acquaintence -- V.O. pro; Mr. John Young!! Pleasure knowing you sir...
